Miami- I had Florida St in essentially the same spot earlier in the week and I am not really sure how the Seminoles managed to cover the game. Clemson of course will have a very loud crowd behind them and will play tough defense however I do like the Hurricane's tremendous firepower to be able to find a way to break through their defense and score. Once they get a lead, Clemson will not be able to come back. Look for the Hurricanes to win and cover at the free throw line.
Illinois- Tough to figure out Northwestern however Illinois has the talent edge and will have a lot of road support as their fans will be about 45% of the total crowd. NU shot the three really well against Ohio St and I am betting that they will shoot a lower percent tonight and Illinois will be able to control the boards. Look for a close first half and then for NU's poor shooting to do them in the 2nd half.
Illinois St- Great spot for ISU to get back into the tourney conversation. they have a talented team and played poorly for a stretch but are back on their games now. Wichita St is a strong team but they will not be up to the task tonight as the Redbirds get their signature win and cover.
I am recommending both overs as well as a hedge in case either NU or Clemson are hitting their 3's. If that happens, the overs will get there.

Tennessee +1 vs Kentucky
Providence- ND will be leaving the comforts of South Bend and heading to Providence. The Friars will be waiting in the weeds for this one. Expect ND's string of OT games and a raucous home crowd plus a talented Friars team to add up to a relatively easy win and cover for Providence.
Tennessee- Not basing this pick on the Noel injury however that will be a factor. This is a chance for UT to get a signature win and try to build some momentum for the NCAA tourney. The Vols will be able to match up with Kentucky and use the home crowd to push them to a close win.

Butler -12 vs Charlotte
Washington -2.5 vs Oregon
Butler- Yes, I was cursing them last Saturday for blowing the big lead and pretty much choking away a sure cover. But that was on the road and they are not a good road team. At home, they won't get rattled and will demolish a mediocre at best Charlotte team.
Washington- The Huskies have been tough at home. Oregon had a nice little peak but they are closer to a bubble team than a top 4 seed team. Washington will roll.

Butler has struggled a bit in conference play and they are play a GW team that is playing well at home. With that said, I like Butler to be focused in this game and to get an important road win in conference play. Overall the Bulldogs have better talent and they will not play down to the competition in this one.
Miami/UNC- Nice matchup here. When these teams win, they usually are scoring in high 70's, low 80's. I like both teams to play well and for a real fast pace. Should be a fun one to watch and an easy over.
West Virginia and Kansas- Playing both sides of the bounceback/let down in this one. TCU really should not have beaten Kansas and Kansas never should have played so poorly. I like both teams to return to their mean. The jayhawks should easily outclass Oklahoma and West Virginia should get the badly needed road win.
New Mexico- This should be a real tough battle. Not picking for the Lobos to get the win but do think this game will come down a final possession and the 5 is a little too rich.

The top teams in the Valley clash tonight. So far Belmont has been the class but I really like the Racers getting points at home on the national stage. This will be an intense game and Belmont will show why they will be a tough out in the NCAA Tourney, however tonight's game will belong to the Racers.
Definitely take the 4 points and consider the money line +165 if you are feeling it.

Superbowl Picks
Here is how I predict the game will unfold and how to bet the big game.
Also one college basketball play. Lean on Illinois +2 vs Wisconsin. Illinois will use their athleticism and hit their 3's and get a much needed one.
Superbowl
Starting at the end, I like the Niners to win and cover so lay the 4.
I like the game to start out with both teams following their offensive scripts and having successful first drives however after that I expect the defenses to settle in and for the offenses to get conservative. I think the Ravens will score a field goal on their first possession and SF will score a TD on their 2nd possession.
Bet first score to be a Ravens field goal (7/2) and Ravens score first +105
Bet first SF score a TD (passing) 21/10
I like the score to be 7-3 at the end of the first quarter and for the first half to go under 24.
I think both defenses will be hitting hard and the offenses will need to adjust to the physical play. With that in mind, /I like the first turnover to be a fumble which is +120
After half, I think the pace of the offenses will pick up significantly as both teams put the pedal to the metal. I think this will be when SF takes over. I really like SF to score at least 2x in the 3rd quarter and for this to be the highest scoring quarter in the game. Take over 10 points on the 3rd quarter and take the the 3rd to be the highest scoring quarter +300
There will be scoring into the 4th quarter however SF will start to manage the clock and defensively will take advantage of Baltimore's desperation and force a critical turnover sealing the win.
Individually, I do like Ray Rice to have a big game. His rush total is set at 67.5. I like the over in that one.
I also like Baltimore to have the longest kick return as they will have more chances -130
Finally I always like to bet that there will be a safety +600.
