NBA Heat Pacers Game 6
Big night for Indiana.
We all know the story line about Larry Bird calling them soft. The hidden story though is the pressure on Pacer's coach Frank Vogel. Everyone focuses on Bird's comments as being towards the players but I see it as being directed towards the coach.
When Indiana was winning, they were controlling the paint and the tempo and not letting LeBron and Wade get into the open court where they thrive. The last 2 games, the Pacers have not done that and of course have lost.
Look for a very focused effort tonight from the Pacers starting with the head coach as they get back to the game plan that was successful.

Nice win last night with the Thunder coming through in a real tough game.

San Antonio/Clippers under 191
With the Spurs up 3-0 and the Clippers having shot their wad in their first round series win over the Grizzlies I expect the Spurs to wrap things up tonight. I also expect this game to be relatively ugly, the Clippers don't have ay any real matchup advantages and a real disadvantage at the head coach spot.
Look for a real slow second half as the Spurs grind them down and move in a game the goes under 191.

Big day for sports in Los Angeles today. However the Clippers lost and i expect the Lakers to go down tonight as well.

OKC +1 vs Lakers
The Lakers were able to scratch a much needed victory out last night but it was a dog fight and I firmly believe the Thunder are the better team and will prevail tonight.
Although the Lakers have gotten contributions from a lot of players, the Lakers have been depending on Kobe primarily, Neither Bynun or Gasol has asserted themselves and i think that will be exposed tonight. The Thunder will pressure Kobe and the Thunder have enough inside to handle the Laker's big men.
Westbrook has been pretty quiet and i expect him to assert himself as the Thunder take the crucial 3-1 lead,

NBA 5/12
Kudos to the NBA for keeping things moving and getting the Celtics/Sixers series going.
Top Pick
Celtics/76'ers over 171.5- I say jump on this over and then plan on playing the under for most of the other games in this series. The first game of the series of course is the least stressful game and most likely for teams to play pretty loose and take some chances that they don't in later game series.
If you followed the bulls/sixers series then you noticed most of the games went under but I do like this to make it over as the final score should be around 93-87 or so.
Nuggs/Lakers- No official pick in this one but if you are itching to play then I would go with the Lakers -5. However i can see the Lakers struggling but i think Bynum will bring his A game and if so then they should take of business.

NBA 5/8
Well the Lakers/Nuggets hit the brakes on offense in the 2nd half, especially the Nuggets so the over did not work.
Looking at tonite's games a couple of leans:
Parlay Bulls -220 and under 171.5- if the Bulls can get their act together and get a win, we certainly know it will not be due to their offense. I like the Bulls to win a close one in an ugly game that hit under.
Lakers/Nuggets under 197.5- When the Lakers win, they usually have a strong defensive game to go with it. I think the Lakers will close it out and in the process take the game under.

NBA Picks 5/6
1-1 yesterday taking tough no cover by the Clippers who won but did not hit their free throws costing the cover. Meanwhile, Oklahoma City looked like a championship contender taking care of business on the road.

Lakers/Nuggets over 201- generally I am not a big proponent of taking the over too often in playoff games as both teams usually feel the pressure of the game and either slow things down or hit a scoring drought when things go badly.
However, the Laker's played pretty awful in game three and the Nuggets took full advantage. The Nuggets will look to push the tempo again and the Lakers who would like to slow it down but will need to play at a faster pace on the road. I don't think the Lakers will be a fast break machine but they will try to score early in the possession before the Nuggets can put the double teams in place like they did in game 3.
I am leaning towards the Nuggets to win but definitely like the over.

OKC -2 vs Dallas
Unfortunately I don't time for extensive writeups. Clip's game will be close but they will be able use the inside out game to cover this one.
OKC game will be tough but this game will swing in the 4th quarter as Dallas realizes their season is coming to an end and will fold like most teams do when facing an elimination game. OKC has the killer instinct to get it done.

Nice 2-0 start on Sunday...what the Grizzlies didn't cover? They blew a 25 point 4th quarter lead? Oh yeah.

Look for the Bulls to play very focused today and for the home crowd to energize them during this game.
