Writeups

San Jose St- The Spartans don't get too many showcase games so they will be primed for this one. Utah St came through for me last week as a 5 star play so I certainly am familiar with their game. I like the Spartans offense to be really sharp in this game and to get off to a fast start. Look for Utah St to be in catch up mode most of the game. I like the Aggies to close the gap and win this one at the end however I like the Spartans to cover the 10.

Central Florida- This a sneaky good team. They went into Penn St and took care of business (see earlier post) and they have a chance to do the same to the Gamecocks. Coach George O'Leary will have his defense ready and although they don't have the talent that USC has, they will be well prepared in this one. Offensively they will play field position and force USC into some bad plays.

The Gamecocks will not be fired up in this and will need to adjust their intensity. I won't be surprised if the Gamecocks are trailing in the 4th quarter and fall to C. Florida in this one.

E. Carolina/UNC- Both of these teams are offensive oriented and will be raring to show off their prowess in this one. UNC is coming off a stinging loss to Ga Tech and will be ready to redeem themselves. The ECU Pirates will not be intimidated by the Tarheels and will be happy to try to match big plays. This should be a fun one and more importantly should fly over the 61.

LSU- I gotta have a side in this one. I like LSU to take care of business. Georgia no doubt will start out strong and get their offense on track. However LSU will make several adjustments on the defensive side of the ball as the game goes on and will slow UGA to a halt. Meanwhile UGA's defense is suspect and will not be able to hold LSU down. I will probably take the Tigers on the $line but I am definitely taking the points.

Navy- going on the road for this one won't bother Navy. They are used to tough environments. I like Navy's overall talent edge to be the difference and for them to get the win and cover against W. Kentucky. Last year W. Kentucky would have been the play but not this time around.
