Miami vs Oklahoma City Series and Game 1

What has been a great NBA playoffs ends with a great matchup between the two marquee teams.

In my earlier post, I did predict that Miami would get to the finals only to come up short against either the Spurs or Thunder.

Now that the heat have arrived, I am still sticking with OKC to win the series and be crowned champions.

Although, this should be a pretty close series, Miami's weakness from a year ago that was not properly addressed will be the difference in this one. Miami does not have enough toughness on the inside to rebound and play strong interior defense consistently over a seven game series.

Also, I do like the coaching matchup to go in OKC's favor. Both coaches do a good job but Scott Brooks has made the adjustments needed for his team. Spoelstra on the other hand has let his players make the difference but in this matchup game to game coaching adjustments will be important.

Finally, I really thought Vegas would make Miami the series favorite but they put OKC out as a solid favorite to win the title. That is a big sign in my opinion as well.

My main concern for OKC is their point guard Westbrook. He is very talented but sometimes tries to take the game over unnecessarily. If he plays under control and limits turnovers then OKC will be in good shape.

I like OKC to win in six.

Game 1- I like OKC to come out and control the boards and limit Miami's fast break offense. The game may go over but i want to see game 1 before picking a total but I do like OKC to cover the 5 and put the pressure on Lebron and company immediately.
